Nice to meet you!

I'm Ella Josephine, an image maker and printmaker from the North West of England. My work investigates subject matter through making, allowing play and material exploration to guide the creative process. Themes include feelings, memories, and lived experience. I am driven by the need to make and transform concepts into compelling imagery via printmaking processes. These include cyanotype, silkscreen, risograph and gel plate printing.

Cyanotype is my favourite printmaking method. It's a photographic printing process I use to connect with my grandad who was an amateur photographer, and sadly passed away before I was born. I firmly believe creativity is about connection and discovery, and that everyone is creative. You just need to find a process that resonates with you :)
